We have been using the MYZONE® technology at Parisi XPC for the past 3 years and our clients love it!  MYZONE® is an innovative heart rate based system that uses wireless and cloud technology to accurately and conveniently monitor physical activity.  It monitors heart rate, calories and time exercising that converts into MYZONE® Effort Points (MEPs), with a focus on rewarding effort rather than fitness. MYZONE® users simply wear a comfortable MYZONE® Physical Activity Belt (heart rate strap), which is registered online, to monitor all concerted physical activity in real time, allowing users to view their progress in their personal account.  Whether you are in a training session at Parisi, playing some pick up basketball, running the causeway or on a bike ride, the MYZONE system accurately and conveniently monitors physical activity.  TV screens in the facility display color-coded heart rate zones to establish a percentage of maximum effort (intensity) based on your heart rate.  Every minute of effort above 50% will earn you MEPs:

What are MEPs?

MYZONE Effort Points (MEPs) are a new metric for measuring physical activity. MEPs accumulate for every minute of activity that you spend in the 5 effort (intensity) zones based on your individual maximum heart rate. The more effort that is put in, the more MYZONE Effort points you earn! It’s that simple!

What is MYZONE?

MYZONE is a monitoring system that encourages effort during physical activity. It feeds information from a heart rate monitor to your smartphone or computer.  You can track activity stats across days, months and years.

What makes MYZONE any better than my current heart rate monitor?

MYZONE collects information such as height, weight and fitness goals to develop a target “zone” that will give you an optimal workout.  You can watch your effort level rise and fall on screens that are placed around the facility.

What if I don’t want everyone else to see my stats?

MYZONE allows users to set up a 6 digit code name so you can identify yourself but others may not necessarily know it’s you.  Also, none of your measurements, weight or height will be displayed on the screen. You can choose to not be on the screen as well. 

How will MYZONE know I enter the room?

Each screen has a MYZONE detector located near it.  When you walk within range of the TV screen / MYZONE detector, it should pick up your belt.  You will see your code name on the screen.

Do I have to use the MYZONE heart rate monitor or can I use a different brand?

You have to use the MYZONE belt in order for it to sync up with this system.

How do I know if my belt is on properly?

Your belt should be placed around the middle of your chest so it can easily detect your heart rate.  When you first put it on, it will beep to let you know that it’s activated.  It will also beep when you take it off or unsnap it from the band.
